Working with textile is a daily activity for me. I love the beauty of the fabric, the soft- fold
and the possibilities for processing. In my recent work I make use of free textile forms.
The basis of each work is a self-dyed piece of fabric that I edit with stamps, screen printing,
acrylic paint.
There will be frequently worked in a collage-like style with a variety of materials, such as
cotton, silk, threads, tyvek, plastic and metal. Each work consist of a number of layers,
especially textile. These are edited intensive with mechanical stitching.
My work is usually 2- dimensional. Because of the preference for thin transparent material
some of the work hangs separately in the space.
In my work I try to pass on a message. This can be a beautiful poem, something from nature,
or something that happens in my life.
