Biography
Elly lives in the middle of the Netherlands.
After High school she followed the teaching academy, with a special note handicrafts and textile work. Working with
textile is decisive for her further development.
Since 2000, after a training as sewing teacher she is working with textile in all kinds of facets.
From 2005, after following the course Quilting special, her work becomes abstract textile art.
She also follows a number of additional workshops with international (textile )artists.
She obtains her further knowledge from books and by experimenting, especially with dyed and rust fabrics.
Her work is regularly shown at national and international exhibitions.
She is a member of SAQA.
At this moment she is following the 2-year quilt judging course of the Quilters’ Guild of the British Isles.
